Thanks to CSA we managed to get our first league game of the season played, despite Henwick being waterlogged, by switching to an away fixture. We all got a soaking but the pitch was in good condition and this was an excellent game of football. The boys went into this with a first class attitude knowing it was a tough fixture but determined to do well. We went into a two goal lead with a shot from outside the box from Jacob, and doubled the lead when Jacob scored a rebound after a shot from Thomas. CSA pulled one back before half time and grew into the game after the break to make it 2-2.
Once again Milo pulled off some incredible saves to keep us level, supported by a strong defensive showing. Up front we created loads of chances but found a whole series of shots blocked at the last moment, and saw three or four go just past the post. Full credit to the boys though as they kept postitive and kept playing their passing game, and eventually we got the winner we deserved from a Thomas cross/shot that was difficult for the keeper.
A huge well done to the boys today - a real team performance and really good team spirit.
