This was much closer than the score suggests! We got off to a solid start before Chineham scored against the run of play. Chineham then had the better of the first half as we lost our way for a while. Even so we were unfortunate to be four goals down at half time after a couple of mistakes gave them a couple of goals they probably didn't deserve on the balance of play. On the other hand Milo pulled off a couple of dramatic saves to push the ball over the bar - so it could have been worse!

After half time we finally got control of the game and pinned them back in their half for a long period. There was a lot of determined play from Freddie and Thomas on the right and Finn and Rupert on the left and we started to get the ball out wide and get some crosses in. Luke, Taye, Harry and Jacob were combining well through midfield and up front.

We eventually got the goal we deserved when Taye did the hard work and Jacob finished. Chineham got another on the break before a lovely through ball saw Jacob chip the keeper for our second. Harry and Jimmy in defense were getting the ball back in the opposition half effectively and for a while it looked like we might close the gap further. With no subs tonight the boys got tired towards the end and despite all the effort to get back into the game Chineham were able to make some subs and the fresh legs saw them score twice to seal their win.
