Another great game and 100% effort from the entire team.  The boys can be really proud of this  - it was impressive to be leading Eldon Celtic (who I'm certain are the strongest team we will play this season) 2-1 with less than 15 minutes to play.  We were a deserved 1-1 at half time with a goal from Jacob and a fantastic penalty save from Milo and quick reactions from Finn to clear the danger.

After half time we started to look comfortable on the ball and grew into our passing game.  Rupert ran through and he finished with some style putting the ball over the advancing keeper to put Cougars 2-1 up.  It was always going to be a tough challenge to hold that lead but we did for a while with Milo in fine form, and defence holding out strong, and a few shots flying just past the post.  Finally our resistance was broken and Eldon scored a few quick goals to pull ahead.  However the last action was Cougars on the attack which summed up our first class attitude to the game.  Jacob was taken down in the area and scored the penalty to make it finish 3-5.    A strong performance and as we said at the end, if we can play like this every week we will do very well this season.
